	SWV Book Fair This Week! Our Spring Scholastic Book Fair is at the Southwood Valley Library the Week of May 7-11!
	Kindergarten Registration Begins May 4th! Kindergarten registration for the College Station Independent School District will begin Friday, May 4. Parents should register their child at the school at which they are zoned to attend. If you are unsure of where you are zoned, please visit www.csisd.org and search “attendance zones.”. To be eligible for kindergarten, your child must be five (5) on or before September 1, 2012.
	Important Information on the Reporting of Student Results for the Spring 2012 STAAR Administrations: The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) are administered for the first time this spring. Since these are new assessments, the timeline for reporting results to parents/guardians is different this year for End-of-Course (EOC) and the grades 3-8 administrations.
	CSISD Education Foundation Prize Patrol Visits SWV! On Wednesday, April 18th, the CSISD Education Foundation Prize Patrol visited Southwood Valley Elementary and awarded Math Specialist, Mrs. Lisa Salyer, with a grant for $4,935!
